Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Desider app and website. By creating an account or using Desider you agree to them. Running ads on Desider means you also accept the Merchant Terms.

Who can use Desider

You must be 13 or older (and meet your local age of digital consent if higher). One account per person. Keep your credentials safe. You can delete your account any time at desider.food/delete-account.

Your content

You own the ratings, reviews, and photos you submit. You grant Desider a worldwide, royalty-free license to host and aggregate that content for running the service (showing your rating next to other Desiders’, computing per-dish scores). You warrant that what you submit is yours to share.

Rating integrity

Rate only dishes you’ve actually eaten. Don’t pay for ratings, don’t coordinate inflation, don’t direct staff or friends to rate your own place. Desider runs automated checks (velocity spikes, bimodal distributions, classifier-gaming) and dampens or removes ratings that look inauthentic.

Acceptable use

Don’t post unlawful, hateful, defamatory, or obscene content. Don’t scrape, mirror, or resell Desider data without written permission. Don’t tamper with rate limits, abuse-prevention systems, or sponsored-item tracking. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Copyright

We respond to valid DMCA notices per 17 U.S.C. §512(c). See the DMCA policy for the agent contact and notice format.

Third-party content

Restaurant names, addresses, Google star ratings, and review counts come from third-party sources (primarily Google Maps). They’re shown as-is.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as-is. We don’t warrant that a specific dish will match your taste, that any score reflects absolute quality, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the preceding 12 months or USD 100. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law

Texas law governs. Disputes resolve in the state or federal courts of Harris County, Texas, unless your local jurisdiction gives you a mandatory right to sue elsewhere.

Changes

For material changes we’ll notify you in-app and via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
